Luggage nets

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a new 66 plate Yeti and received a bag of 3 nets of varying sizes, it's like the Krypton Factor trying to fit them!

Does anyone have a picture of them fitted?

One is a long net possibly boot floor but the other 2 appear to be pockets of some kind.

Any help gratefully received :)

Thanks.

Brilliant, thank you, that's just the job.

Fitted these now but put the one pocket on the left as I have the basket on the right, I assume that's not an issue?

Does anyone know a decent place to buy the 3 net system? We have a 14 plate Yeti that didn't come with them.

Many thanks.

Fit it either side.

PM'ed you.

I must get mine out of the plastic bag one day!

I tend to use that anti--slip drawer liner stuff for small objects etc.

Not just me then :)

I've never used them!  Think I have two sets.

Never used, still have in the bag, not sure how useful they are, perhaps somebody could share photos of nets actually holding stuff in place.

I have the net that fits under the parcel shelf, ok for a water proof, brolly and walking pole, but I find a lack of tension in the nets.

I use the side hooks a lot for things like camera bags which stops them sliding across the boot and one side net. The side net I put things like carrier bags, window scraper. Never used the big floor one as I found trying to slide bags or cases they usually got caught in the netting. I did use the back seat one then had issues when I wanted to quickly fold one seat down..

Side pocket net to hold plastic bags for shopping and other odds and ends.

Cross boot net in back position holds waterproofs, brolly, bottles of wine and beer, and small odds of ends when shopping, and in the front position stops stuff rolling out of the boot.

Floor net to hold smaller flat things down although not so useful with a spare wheel. (The one I use least)

Yes, I think they are more trouble than they are worth.

I do use the hooks for shopping bags and takeaways though as I don't have a spare wheel. Wouldn't be surprised if they disappear from the spec like other cost saving things are?

Oh, I did buy one of those collapsible boot storage things off the book man who comes to the office for a few quid. Much better for carrying the beer!

Different model I know, but on my Octy Scout I use the small hammock style net on the floor with the opening facing the boot lip to hold spare shoes, Bag(s) For Life, dog towel et al. There is a thin dog mat over the top of it to prevent any snagging.

The big square floor net I use as a boot divider; dog in the front section, luggage and loose items kept between divider and rear seat back.

I don't use the third hammock style net as on my model there are two lidded compartments behind the rear wheels and it only got in the way when I required access to these compartments.

The boot must be longer than a Yetis then, or its a very small dog! :)

Mine seem to fit perfectly on a shelf in the garage. They do a fine job keeping dust off the shelf. I suspect this exacting work will continue until the Yeti is moved on.

I think the MkII Octy Scout boot is approximately 200 litres bigger than a Yeti without a spare wheel. It was one of the main deciding factors in choosing it over the Yeti. Pity they didn't do an Octy Scout in Elegance trim!

Oh, and Hadley is a cross between a Staffy and a Pincher. See profile phot!

I found out yesterday that the floor net is exactly the same width as the boot bulkhead of my Lomax, so folded in half it makes a very good "odds" holder

I also found the large boot floor net folded in half makes an excellent pocket under the rear parcel shelf - this held in place with two small hooks drilled through the side of the shelf holds windscreen sunshades, brolly etc.  For some reason my Yeti also only came with three bags ( another cost cutting measure )  as the

original set should have been six, two small for the sides to hang on the hooks, medium for the rear of the back seat and large for the boot floor

A moan to Skoda UK and the dealer produced another set of three so I can now hold absolutely everything in place in the boot. Could' nt do without them !!!!!

The Yeti has only ever come with 3 bags, side, width and floor.

The hatch cover bag and the back seat bag were a paid for extra.

Hi Graham, Completely off topic but we skirted Llianidloes on Saturday morning on our long journey home after spending a week in Harlech. I have to say that although we had ordinary rain for the majority of the route the rain experienced when passing your home town was of biblical proportions. The strange thing is this only happened when passing and went back to 'ordinary' rain soon after. Do you have web feet? :rain:  :D

Quack Quack!!
And it wasn't rain, it was liquid sunshine..................................

I was out in it, in the Lomax, and got soaked!!
