wierd headlight problem, no lights on one side

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

so yesterday i get a headlight bulb out warning for passenger side dip beam, then today i get into the car and maxidot starts a novel of bulbs out so after buying 2 h7's and 2 h1's taking out the passenger headlight deffo gone, replace and it works,

Now to the drivers side, all i have working on that side is the sidelight and indicator

No Dip, No Main, and no Fog

then i notice on the rear passenger side cluster is acting strange also, no side lights or brake light changed the top twin filament bulb no change

Also when the sidelights are on the rear drivers brake light is on, and the indicator on that side is not working either (replaced bulb also)

Its probably something odd, but checked all the fuses in both boxes, not wet in the boot and im stumped now

Anyone had this before?

Thanks

Dallan

On "normal cars" it would make me think of earthing faults, but I'm less certain on "CANBus cars"

i wonder if its the CECM is busted,

Just checked and the footwell lights arent working either, so looking more like cecm fault

maybe i will try disconnect the battery later and see if that re-sets it

So as i look into the CECM more and more, its looking like everything on PLUG A and some of B and C is not working along with a few other oddities

so i might swap A and D around later to see if it moves sides

Finally figured it out,

F16 looked fine but plastic had melted underneath, so cleaned up and hey presto all back to normal #relief

  • 6 years later...

What is that F16 means

FUSE 16
