Towing with a Felicia

Featured Replies

has anyone used a felicia for towing ?? i have a 1999 1.3 lxi hatchback , i have a skoda towing bracket to fit in the next few weeks , i would like to tow a small lightweight caravan , just wondered if anyone has done any towing with the felicia and if so how did it perform ? . thanks

have a 1.3 felicia, towed several cars with it before, and its definatly got the torque, not sure bout hills tho, it will be slowish, but saying that i did tow one of these cars up a steep track, and it did it, i was doing at least 40, and i wasn't giving it all, lol:D

depends on the caravan i suppose, and how much you love your car lol

I would guess aslong as it does not exceed it's towing weight it should be fine. Best to check what skoda (via handbook) say it can tow

Used a 98 1.3 lxi to tow a trailer stuffed to the gills with camping gear and four up from sunny Bradford to rainy devon no probs, probably not as heavy as a caravan, but best i can offer

in france the insurance give a limit of <750kgs

just to say thanks to those that have replied , i have checked my felicia handbook and the max tow weight is 900 kgs , the caravan i'm hoping to tow is about 500 kgs unladen , so i'm hoping it will be ok , when i towed this caravan last year i was using a 2 litre passat , the felicia is a good bit smaller , so i will have to see when i get round to fitting the towing bracket . thanks again folks .
