The 'three child seats across' club

Featured Replies

They are 2.0 TDI 150ps with Ad-blue / DSG.  No 140ps anymore.

Ah fair enough, I thought they were 140, the demo seemed to have plenty of poke, my kids loved the electric doors and tail gate.

White 7 seater vs Red 4 seater, just an ickle bitty bigger.

That's what my drive will look like shortly lol. Seeing those pictures I'm now wishing I had spec'd the bigger wheels :-(

The white one and the Red Metallic SE+ are both on 225/50 R 17 which is OK for a bit of protection when it comes to kerbs.

When we ordered there was a white one in the dealer on 18's which looked smart, the dealer didn't think they were an option and thought the owner must have bought them afterwards so I didn't bother looking into it. I then saw last night that it was a £500 option!

Has the new car arrived?

Has the new car arrived?

Mine hasn't and they don't have a date for it yet lol. I've spent quite a bit of time and money getting our Mazda5 ready for sale so I'm now actually wondering if we need a new one!

New car won't be here till March apparently. Looks like the salesman has been playing us along. Apparently Seat haven't been manufacturing them due to engine and transmission tweaks (wonder if this is to do with the emissions scandal). I haven't cancelled the order yet, but if there is any further delay then I will just keep the current car and pocket the money.

Only chased up Seat on delivery as someone made an offer on the Mazda5 today, luckily I hadn't accepted

Very very very very strange and not really truthful from your sales person i think.

Odd how many new Euro 6 2.0 TDI SCR Seat Alhambra were delivered for November 2016 Registration in the UK that were ordered in September 2016,

28 various Alhambra at least i think to my local SEAT Dealership & they have other branches that had New Factory Builds delivered as well.

There were Seat Ateca Engine issues and they stopped orders on Manual Box 150ps TDI FWD's

it does sound very odd, unless they had these cars already built and awaiting shipping, he said there was around 2 months where nothing was built (maybe in in the spec we ordered??). It's due to be built 18th January, if it's delayed further then I will cancel, at the moment it's good as it will mean we get a 17 plate

My Alhambra was ordered in September 2016, (12/9/16 confirmed) Factory Build with Factory Options, it was built in October 2016.

Maybe they had 2.0 TDI 150 PS SCR Engines & DSG's units for production, and 184ps.

SEAT would need to tell you.  I can ask next week.

mine is a 2.0 TDI 150 PS  DSG. I don't know why it's taking so long to be honest. I've seen online that some people have experienced delays

Is there another DSG delay/issue like there was about a year ago?

God knows, the chap we spoke to yesterday said production was stopped due to engine and transmission tweaks, I personally think it's BS

Fantastic as they are so i either have the latest or that will be even better.

Coasting Function, Auto hold / Hand Brake, DSG / Paddles etc just super.

(needed for decelerating as it just rolls along, i have no Cruise Control but not really needed as it coasts along in average speed camera areas.

With arm rest up the shifter stays in 'D' where put when starting off, everything so relaxed.

Ad-blue was 7,000 miles range and 2,900 miles later is showing 6,500 miles.

MPG very good, and enough get up and go with the 150ps.

I have driven the 184ps as i borrowed one for 10 days and i prefer the 150ps.

48 mpg average now and rising and 60 plus MPG easily achieved once up to heat and rolling along.

(Poverty Spec wanted, Narrower tyres / 16" rims, No Roof Rails or chrome or electric motors opening rear doors or hatch,

was to be no Auto Light or Wipers but arrived with that. Just mats missing, and they are coming, TK Maxx Explorer or Expedition Mud Trays are good £10 set of 4)
