Hello BriSkoda folks. I'm picking up my Grandad's old 2008 Octavia 1.9TD DSG on Saturday to replace my gas guzzler BMW 328CI which doesn't have enough doors or a large enough boot for baby stuff. Wish I could keep both but have more sense than money at the moment with a 6 month old baby...

 

This'll be my second Skoda, my first was a heap of a Favorit estate that I had as a student which I used and abused and then sold to a builder friend to use as a mobile skip. Hopefully the Octavia will prove better built and more luxurious! I expect to post various daft questions as I'm a bit of a tinkerer and I think my Octavia will need some servicing as it's been stood around a lot.
