Problems with reversing sensors

Featured Replies

When I put the car in reverse I get a loud continuous noise instead of the intermittent beep from the reversing sensors. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Do I need to be worried

It usually means that one or more of the sensors has failed. If the car is less than 3 years old get it repaired under warranty. If not, the sensors are horrendously expensive. A code reader should tell you which one(s) has failed.

Has it been raining and are they clean. The MK2 used to take exception to water and dirt around them.

No worries, but depends how close you were to the nearest obstruction.

I suspect a wall.

Really close.
