Hello, loving my new Superb 220tsi, but I didn't get the customary pack of oil you usually get with Skoda. Does anyone know what is the correct oil for top up purposes with this engine please?

Castrol has an oil selector on its website. This is the oil they use at service too.

Alternatively, the manual has a page on this. You either need an oil that has a certification of VW502 or VW504, and it's probably a castrol edge professional 5w30.

You need a good quality oil that is certified by VAG to specification VW504.00 (their latest spec for long life oil). Note 'certified'; not 'meets the requirements of' or 'exceeds the requirements of' or any other misleading weasel words for non-certified non-approved oils. It has to be approved else you have nobody's word the oil is good enough except the manufacturer selling it. You can see a good selection on Opie Oils, and please note the link is for their 504.00 oils only. I can recommend Mobil1 from experience but Shell, Castrol FST etc should be just as good. You pays yer money...
