Superb Greenline and parking kerbs

Featured Replies

Hi

I have question to owners of Superb Greenline MK III.

Does  ground clearance on front and back of car is height enough,  to allow  park  the car without catching parking kerbs?

Anybody driving superb greenline?

I don't think you'll find a definitive answer as all kerbs are different in height despite there being recommended height guidelines. Some kerbs will be fine with a Greenline, others won't be. Same for all cars really, you just have to make a judgement everytime you see a kerb where you want to park.

Unfortunately as cnc says, you'll have to judge by each kerb.

On my street, outside my house the kerb is only one inch high, lower in parts, the other side of the road the kerb is up to three inches high and chews up alloy wheels.

One thing I noticed on a friend's BMW 3 Series was the front will 'relax' after parking, so going into a parking space was fine, but coming out again would cause the front bumper to ground.

Not sure if that'll be the case with your car but worth baring in mind just in case.

I have had my Greenline Estate now since June, Iv'e done nearly 10K and never had a problem with kerbs, it clears standard height kerbs.

Isn't parking on pavements, well, not the done thing? I thought they were for pedestrians

That will be pavement kerbs.

You get kerbs where there is grass or gravel behind them at car parks and the likes where the nose or tail may get parked over the kerb.
