Hi all,

 

Looking to replace my interior bulbs with LEDS; basically Glovebox, front and rear roof lights and boot. Saw a topic last night which suggested I need 10 W5W/T10 to complete this. However, I was wondering which bulbs people have used who have done this already and how many SMD leds on the bulbs? Was looking at some 8 SMD LEDs, but not sure if these will be a bit too bright for the roof lights in the front and rear? Bright would be good in Glovebox and Boot, but don't want to be lit up like a dutch brothel inside the cabin whenever anyone opens the doors! Any advice on SMD count and brightness for the interior would be appreciated.

All interiors have been replaced and I have a couple of spares . All working well so far. I have in the past had Cheap ebay bulbs that flicker after a short time but these do the job really well.

No errors. Interior lamps are not subject to canbus.

Nice and Bright, but not the most robust coating.

 

For the roof lights I have

which make good use of the reflectors in the roof lights.

I fitted these andthey work perfectly ibhad them fitted in my last car and they dimmed without flickering when you locked the car.

They are spot on . To be honest I couldn't live with them being any brighter.

Any reason you didn't use the OEM Skoda ones? they are only about a fiver each and the proper thing for the job.

Maybe people arent aware there is a skoda oem item have you got a part no. You could share with us or a link it could be helpful to people in the future.

I used a small flat head screw driver, as thin as I had and gently inserted it along the plastic housing that contains both lights, then worked my way around the edge slowly and it just popped out quite easily. Same for the rear too....

These didn't fit interior lights, gotta get some different ones, will find a use for them though.
