Rearguards- Be Careful When Ordering

Featured Replies

I clicked on a link in a message about  bumper protection  rearguards for my Octavia III.

This was a mistake  as someone else's billing address and delivery address is embedded there.

I ended up by ordering two rear guards. Richard Grant Mouldings were very kind and managed to stop delivery of the erroneous item and promise to refund me.

So make sure you go to their home page and start an entirely new ordering procedure.

Sorry but the pessimist in me suggest

1) what the hell; if its another thread, post it on that thread for some kind of context at least ?

2) how can it be your fault. They should design their site better so it doesn't store querystring / parameters that one user could compromise his security/data protection by sending you a link to their order site with his own details embedded I'm thinking ?

You'd never get away with that on a credit card /purchasing system, so why on a booking system.
Hardly your fault someone posted up a link, and due to their ****ty site coding, you almost ended up nearly sending it to someone else.

Plus there is no such thing as it being kind, its purely distance selling regulations - and rights.

The other thread title is less obvious."Helitape instead of bumper protector" or similar. I'd rather be helpful than angry in order to help other Briskodians.

Just to clarify - neither of the links I posted on the other thread went to any private info on the Rearguards site - they were directly copied after searching for Superb fittings, so this has nothing to do with the Gecko.

I think it would help if gregoir highlighted the post, or PM'd the poster suggesting he/she edited/removed it.
