ESP light &a engine cuts out while driving

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Skoda Octavia vRS Diesel.

The car had worked fine for 3 years and in the last week my car has cut out 5-6 times while driving. The ESP light comes on and the engine cuts out. Most times I can stop the car and restart it although it takes a few turns unlike before the warning light when it turns over fine. I recently had it in a garage but they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it as it drove fine for them and never cut out. It had a error code P068A/001674 (ECM power relay load circuit; de-energised performance to early). The reasons for this code don't add up though as if any of the errors were true the car wouldn't start which it does.

Any help please before Skoda try stinging me with a big bill

it could be a solenoid that's starting to fail?

Hi i have a problem that sounds just like this , did you ever find the solution? I know this was a while ago..

Hi,

Had similar issue however, my car would not start at all. In my case battery tray was chafing on cable loom below.

As a result of chafing, broken cable and ECU replaced.
