Estate Boot Dimensions

Featured Replies

Hiya

Actually struggling to find this info online.

Does anyone know, if with the seats down could you fit a 2m object (doors) in at an angle and still close the boot ??..

I don't have a room rack, although I may need to purchase one soon.

Many Thanks

I guess you could put down the seats and measure the diagonal. I'd be surprised if you couldn't. In my B5 Passat I managed to fit in 2 IKEA bookcases in that manner - they were 2.1 m long packs. The Superb is a good bit longer than the Passat so I'd say it'll fit. Biggest load I've put in the Superb is a 2.5 m long IKEA wardrobe pack, but for that I reclined the front passenger seat and slid it in along that side of the car.

Make sure to have some strong tie-down straps to stop the load moving forward whatever you do (unless you're tipping up the rear seat bases to act as a bulkhead).

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to get the olde measuring tape out...Issue is, I have a electric boot on mine so the option of tying the boot down is not an option. I have some good ratchet straps and I was plannig on using the boot rails to hold everything in place..

Only other option is a roof rack, seen a Skoda original on ebay for £42.99 so that is also an option and would be useful moving forward...but if I can get away with not paying that right now that would be good. :)

I suspect chimaera means using the tie down straps for the item, not the boot lid.
