Weekend collection

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Has anyone ever been told they can't pick up their new car on a weekend?

I told my dealer that I want to come on a weekend to inspect the car before taking it away and they gave me some sob story that it would affect sales by having salesmen doing handovers etc on weekends?

We've always collected our cars at the weekend, usually due to work commitments.

The dealer is IMHO talking out of somewhere the sun doesn't shine.

Thought as much - thanks

I got mine on a Saturday but dealer wasn't keen as it is their busiest day for the sales dept. I just told them it was the only day that suited me. They were ok and asked that I collected first thing before the place started to get busy which was fair enough.

Twist their arm. Or give your salesman a big smack. They're trying it on.

As above, be a bit flexible, but stick to your guns.

My handover last month took less than an hour.
