Are you going to get your new shower remapped or will you go for the cheaper tuning box? Personally I think the Mira Strut Brace makes a hell of a difference particularly if you further mod it with the Triton 9.5Kw Air filter and power pipe!!

FQ340: 321/1400=0.229

example remapped Fabis vRS: 300/1350=0.228

when did i say he was lying? i've already put forward the theory that perhaps the driver of the evo wasn't "running"

i've witnessed, first hand, that a remapped pd130 Fabia (on this occasion it was a vRS model) isn't quicker than a remapped 4x4 Octavia 1.8T. in gear. on the move. i seriously doubt that said octy would be hassling an FQ340...

besides, we all know what happens when a remapped vRS races a remapped Octy 1.8T off the line...

if things are this bad now, how are your underpants ever going to cope with the strain once you've actually taken delivery...:eek:

I've considered fitting a Gainsborough 2kw turbo to my vRS but have now heard about leaks.

the evo has a torque to weight ratio of 218 lbft/ton

the fabia has a torue to weight ration of 228lbft/ton

so at the peak torque the fabia is producing a better torque to weight than the evo but the key point is that the evo is producing it's peak torque from 3500 to 5000 rpm and not dropping that much afterwards so the torque delivered to the wheels per second will be much much higher than the fabia's.

come on lads do we really think that a remapped fabia would be a match performance wise at any time with a 300+ bhp performance originated car?

I agree with the light-hearted thread. And also still laughing that it contains more information about the inner workings of Mira showers, than any talk of these motor car contraptions

I still feel though that it is a tad pointless (apart from the useful shower information you've assimilated) as you'll never know how hard the Evo driver was trying? Same with any thread of this kind. I agree with the torque discussion, but surely this would be discounted if he geared down?

Andy's torque curve is very smooth aswell so it may help. no large peaks.

I've just completed a pikey mod on my Gainsborough shower. I fitted a pipe from the box to the shower head and when it's turned to 'turbo' mode, it vibrates and is quite useful for something else...

stiil looks like the FQ 450.No good overtaking in one of those showers on full power but wrong heat settings( as Clarkson proved)
