OBD11 with ELM327

Featured Replies

I have an ELM 327 module / clone in my drawer. I have never used it yet and I'm just wondering if it could work with OBD11 software. App page says no, but some offers suggest it could.

There is one tweak I was thinking of (fan speed display in auto) and would like to try to apply it. Obviously since it's merely a gimmick, I do not intend to invest a real money in it.

Any other good/practical ideas (other than Torque app) to utilize the ELM327 module?

Not possible unfortunately, I've already tried.

Android lets you rename the Bluetooth connection, so I tried renaming it to OBDeleven and it picked it up and specifically pointed out that ELM 327 isn't supported.

Carista works with ELM327, but there aren't any tweaks you can do with the Octavia 3 with this combination. I bought OBDEleven and the dongle so I could do tweaks on mine, and helped a few mates/colleagues out for a few free beers.
