Fabia headlights

Featured Replies

Ive got a Fabia Classic and one of my headlight bulbs has gone - the one located on the passenger side IN FRONT OF THE BATTERY!

The manual refers to changing bulbs and to removing the panel around the battery for access but it doesnt actually say how to do it!

Can anyone out there tell me how its done?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the site!

*If* it's the same battery case as the octavia, then there are two small circles, one on each side of the case at the top of the vertical channel, press these an the casing will release and is able to be lifted off.

(I'm guessing it's generic as it was a Seat owner that showed me! :))

I had a Fabia courtesy car once, but didn't take note of the battery case, sorry, sure a fellow fabia owner will jump in soon.

Actaully theres no need to remove the battery case as the cover behind the headlight can be removed, a bulb fitted and the cover replaced with it all in-situ.

You might need a thin pair of hands and a bit of dexterity though... but I've done it a few times so far!

By the way... Have any other Fabia owners noticed a tendency of the car to eat bulbs? I'm on my sixth or seventh dipped bulb so far (both sides have gone a number of times). Or is it crappy Halfords bulbs that's the problem? I've tried to get the Bosch ones but they always seem to be out of stock!

Cheers

I did learn a few things tho - like the number of differnt bulbs in there - nowt like my old felicia! It was the low beam bulb that had gone, costing
