Options for SE Tech

Featured Replies

I am contemplating an SE Tech spec with the 150 TDi and wondered if there are any essential options you would recommend ?

It seems to have most things as standard Inc sunset glass, Nav and 17" alloys hence not sure if there is anything it needs.

I would definitely spec bi-xenon headlights.  An absolute must IMO, both from a safety and an aesthetics point of view as they really transform the car (you also get daytime LEDs and adaptive lights with bi-xenons).  Shame they are not available in the UK at SE spec, as they are in other markets like here in Ireland for example.

Too expensive in my opinion, I think they are £1200 as an option. The only option i included in my se tech Dsg was heated front seats at £250, start loading the car with expensive options and I'd be looking at other makes where they are included.

i've ordered the se business which is the same spec, i would go for the phone box with wireless charging as its only £50 and much dearer on every other model.

rear wiper is free

park assist or camera is helpful for parking with the size of the car

heated windscreen is a biggie for me also as i hate waiting for windscreen to clear.

Thanks.

Agree that xenons are quite expensive so not keen on paying the extra.

The spec comes with park assist so that should be fine.

Good call on the heated windscreen. I have it on your one car but not others and it is great in the winter.

Is the charging cradle compatible with the iPhone ?

Any thoughts on the 17" alloys? Are 18" better?

No the iPhone will not do wireless charging

17”s look wrong on the car IMO (I run 17” winters) the 18” or dare I say it 19” wheels suit the car much better and do not affect the ride quality.

I won’t go into ‘must have’ options as even my L&K didn’t have enough options as std for me!

My thoughts exactly Gizmo. The 17s look a little small. The one in the showroom looked like it had 18 or 19s
