Steering wheel controls and no horn

Featured Replies

Evening all

Got an odd problem with my 2011 Superb Elegance Estate Greenline.

This evening i jumped in the car and all was well, but then 10 seconds or so later i lost all steering wheel controls for the radio, MFD etc and also the horn.

After a frustrating head scratching short journey, I turned the car off, locked up, grabbed my fish n chips, got back in the car and it started working normally again, but only for about 10 seconds, before the same thing happened again.

Anyone know what this could be?

I would guess the slip ring control module is faulty

get a vcds to see what faults flag up

Thanks very much.

I'll get it down a garage and see what they say. Out of interest how much is the ring control module?

I'd say there was some fault that the system is seeing that shuts down communication after a few seconds. Could be a short on a switch somewhere in the system.

I had it like two times the same. After restart everything was okey again.

Plz let me know what Your garage says
