Interesting that yours doesn’t have it, my understanding was that all Sportline trim (on which the vRS is based) got it from MY20. Maybe black cars are an exception 🤷‍♂️

I hope not as I'm expecting black vRS badging on my black vRS when it arrives ... on the back anyway. Already got replacement black ones for the front.

The brochure is unclear and doesn’t mention the badges at all, only the grill etc as being part of the black styling.

I’d ask your dealer to confirm if I were you. Easy job to get them to source black badges and swap them.

I fancy contrasts. So the shiny badges on black paint are a bonus.

Funny though, the local dealership has a white MY2020 vRS. Next time I go there I will take a photo of the rear end of the vehicle.

Next week I will go there anyhow since I must sign some paperwork for my other order (the new electric citigo 🤫🤫🤫)

The black badging was introduced during production week 48, so late November 2019.

Unfortunately, during the same week a whole host of cost saving measures were also introduced...

So if you have the chrome badges, you don't suffer the recently introduced cost saving measures.

Seems I am somewhere in the middle. Perhaps I have one of the early MY2020 cars.

So, I have chrome badges, door lights, boot torch, blankets, etc.

And I also have the new side assist.

The dealer told me that only the side assist and wheel tpms sensors (which I chose not to take) were the MY changes.

There are model year (MY) changes, and then seemingly random other changes.

The Side Assist and TPMS all arrived back in the summer with the MY20 changes, the badge colouring and cost cutting came in during November.

So you have a MY20 Kodiaq, but one built in the week or two before the Week 48 cost cutting implementation.

Given that you prefer the chrome badges you've ended up with the best of both worlds.

Hello everyone.
My name is Stan and from today me and my family are proud owner of Kodiaq L&K (plus virtual cockpit and ACC) 2.0TSI 4x4 DSG in Quartz Grey.
Very very impressed with the car so far.
Our ex car was 67 plate Toyota RAV4 2.0 petrol AWD from which we are quite disappointed.

Hopefully this weather will improve so I can make some nice shots of the car!

Oops... forgot to register here. So Kodiaq Sportline 140 kW 2.0 TSI, 7-speed DSG, 4x4, Cristal Black, most of options included, exept glass roof and road sign recognition. Got it week ago, (ordered last year September) so all Skoda’s “budget cuts” and “green friendly” tricks are included/excluded. Actually pretty good car. One annoying issue is default driving mode. Always back to “Normal” when swiching ignition off... (if anyone knows tricks how to make it remember “Individual” drive mode by default, and to have that “coasting” off from “Normal” settings, then advise will be appriciated). Coming from Octavia RS (actually 2 at the row... 147 and 169 kW models). Second car in family is VW Tiguan 162 kW TSI.

Recently got a Kodiaq Scout 190 in Metallic Blue. Coming from an Octavia Scout.

I'm finding the Kodiaq quite good, but dissapointed at the lack of a manual gearbox in the 190bhp version.

March was supposed to be In With The New, closely followed by Out With The Old, but things surprisingly changed this morning with 2 unexpected calls from dealer.

1. your MOT and service message reset exercise is cancelled indefinitely on your 3 year old Banger Bear

2. your new car is being registered today and delivered to your door

So here I am with 2 cars. That we’re not allowed to drive anywhere for a while.

It seems I’m stuck with the old car for weeks until sometime in future when BCA get back to collecting end of contract vehicles.

Tax, MOT, insurance will all be expired.

So I was able to leisurely move all my junk from one to another, remove the winter wheels from old one, give it a spring clean inside, and sneakily pop out to fill up the new one late this evening at my favourite supermarket next door

Like most sad gits, I had to spend some time fiddling with the new dash layout and setting up the radio. Connectivity and shouting at the dashboard are not really my thing.

I won’t really miss all the little things that have been scrapped, but will enjoy the new dash and suspension (can instantly feel the relatively magic carpet ride compared with the old suspension). Not keen on losing the radio buttons as multiple screen searches to do basic things is annoying.

Interesting times.

Think I prefer the old one

In your first picture, is the new one higher than the old, or is it just the angle of the photo? Wasn't sure if the smaller wheels but larger profile tyres weren't quite as tall as the standard wheels and tyres of the new one?

Here is my first Skoda. Kodiaq Sportline 1.5 TSI. It’s driving really great and really quite. Still need to learn the handling comparing to my Golf since this is a beast of a car. Oh yeah had to put the bear sticker to the back 🙂

Finally managed to get some time to make a post! Picked up my Black Magic Kodiaq vRS a week ago and I love it. Started from a 1.4 100bhp Fabia Comfort hatch in Dynamic blue and worked my way through the Skoda Range to finally have my very own Kodiaq 😍

Optional extras that came from factory was just the electronic towbar and paint.

I had rear flaps, side steps, and Skoda valve caps fitted before I picked it up... sadly the vRS side decals were on back order so I doubly they'll be fitted until later this year when all the dealers open up again.

Right now driving it is down to a minimum so its collecting dust and being washed every few days.
