Surprised my car isn't there, but looking at my posts I never had an official post about it...

 

2019 MY20 Kodiaq RS with every option bar heated windscreen and family pack. Kiwi spec is very generous with most of the essentials standard like driver assist, electric seats w/ memory, Canton etc etc.

Here's making my entry into the owner's log with some pictures.

 

Immediately after Delivery. It was on December 10, 2019. A MY20 vRS but luckily without the cost cuts. However, the door protection was left out. Delivery with winter wheels.

 

Was really impressed, when I realized it has 3D maps.

 

A vRS that can give 24km/l !! Yes , you saw that right 100/4.1 ltr .

 

Finally, after a recent wash and change to original wheels.

Hi all, I'm new, be gentle. Here are some shots of my 2020 build Sportline in Velvet Red. Had it a week and a half and loving it. Lux and tech packs and sunroof. It reminded me driving can be fun not just a commute. I do some photography for fun and thought I'd take some shots of the car. Hope you like them.

Looks great. I assume you left the shutter open and walked round the car with a light source of some kind? If so you might want to experiment with popping off a flash or similar inside the car to illuminate the interior too.

Thanks mate, so there's actually about 4 shots in each of these. You are right, long exposure (15 seconds) and as you say I used an LED to paint the car into each shot. I've got a few future shots in mind including a red light in behind the grill and the harbour bridge in the background. Just waiting on some decent weather to get out and do it.

not a fan of how mudflaps look, nor the faff of getting them attached, but the grit thrown up by the tyres gets embedded in the clearcoat

Fixed typo

Might need an old tooth brush to keep those alloys looking pristine. Dad has similar 18" Sirius alloys on his 62 plate Superb estate. Looks sharp in Race Blue though. Any interior shots coming?

I will get some interior shots tomorrow.     I have some new brushes on the way to help me keep the wheels clean too, they do look a bit fiddly and are covered in break dust already.

Growlingdog, how are you getting on with the DSG, are you glad you didn't get the manual now.  By the way, that is a cracking colour, if it had been available when I ordered, I'd definitely gone for that.

Yes, I’m happy that we got the DSG in the end, I think my Wife has finally accepted it.  I do 99% of the driving anyway.

 

Happy with the fuel economy too, did over 100 miles of mixed driving today and got 42mpg.
 

Gave it a good clean and wax today, looks and feels much better.

Got a delivery of some poorboy's products so gave him a good clean. Need a good paint polish, any recommendations? Used to use Autoglym resin polish on previous cars but was a hassle to buff off.

I've not tried CarPro, but they sell it at my local detailers shop.    I tend to use Poorboys Black Hole to polish and am currently using Collinite 915 for a wax coat, but thinking of switching to soft99 fusso dark coat.

I'm about to coat the wheels with Poorboys wheel sealant to try and keep them clean and protected.

Still looking for recomendations on what to coat the black plastic trim around the bottom with.  There is quite a lot of it on the Kodiaq.

For separate polish + protection try CarPro essence then using a sealant like Reload. Imo waxes are dead, sealants last longer and give better gloss and shine. 
 

For trim, CarPro PERL is good at giving a deep satin look and is pretty cost effective as it comes as a concentrate.
