01333 & 01331 Driver resp. rear left door module, no comms permanent

Featured Replies

Noticed my interior lights didn't come on when I opened the drivers door this morning, and later noticed that none of the electrics work on the driver side door.

Pulled the codes and got both 01333 and 01331, and sure enough the left rear door is without electrics as well.

I checked the fuses but couldn't fine any burnt ones.

Any clues where to look next? I doubt both door modules would have broken around the same time, so more likely it's wherever they are wired to that's broken or has a bad contact?

Thanks for any tips!

Had issues with my drivers side rear door - turned out to be the wiring loom from the drivers door had frayed within the rubber 'tunnel' from the door to the car body - worth a look

Mine wasn't repairable (not in anyway that would last) so had the whole loom replaced

That sounds somewhat comforting though. I was thinking it's probably something more serious as the other doors are suffering as well, not sure why some of the other doors work and some others doesn't if the loom is broken to the drivers side.

I talked to a service place today and they said the same though, although they weren't very sure. Just mentioned something like "all signals pass though the drivers door loom", but then again I', not sure why some doors would work as surely it would use the same bus, and if it's broken it's broken =)

Yeah from my run in, the drivers door acts as a master control for the other three, so issues with it can appear on other doors.

Door card comes off fairly easily to have a poke about with a wiring for a half decent garage - hope you get it fixed!

You were absolutely right, it was the cabling harness in the drivers door that was the issue. Couldn't see the issue myself but the garage replaced the cable and all is well again - fortunately not a very costly fix!

Glad you got it sorted :)

Just had the same problem on mine, is this one that is best done by the dealers or can most independent garages do it as well, also what did it cost for others to have it fixed?

is there a special repair loom for the L&K with the extra speakers in the door? i assume it needs more wires.

Just solder an extra piece of wire in but also check the other wires. I have just fixed my daughter`s Fabia. " wires broken and 2 more on the way out.

one extra? or is that an expression?.  i would prefer to buy a kit with the correct number if i can.

Ask the seller how many wires are included before purchase. There are 28 positions that might be filled.

I believe 26dipp was suggesting repair to existing broken wires by soldering in a new, 'extra' bit of wire between each/every broken pair of ends.

That approach gives more working room and also more length than there was before, which will probably reduce the chance of the same wires breaking again in future.

Had ordered a new loom before the posts with the links to the repair kits, have done a temporary repair on mine using crimp connectors, and will fit the new loom when it arrives, but if any of the others go bad, will either get the repair kit or just solder in replacement extra wire.

I have asked the seller to whom a link was posted here, his reply was that he didn't know if there were enough wires for the superb with sound system .

I guess I will have to pull the boot back and try to count them, hoping i dont break some while doing so.

If what seller supplies has 28 wires then there has to be enough, if not then do a count.

There are other sellers selling the same thing for sometimes only £20, I'd be asking one of them how many wires they include if it were me.

asked a few now, none will answer with a number or if there is enough for the L&k.

has anyone got the wiring diagram for the l&k door loom?

The official circuits aren't organised in that way. There's no such page(s) as 'door loom'. You'd have to look up the separate parts of the loom by function, then piece them all together, which would take a fair old while.

I now have tps insisting that suffix CN is correct for the L&K where i believe it should be DF, they say that DF is for a 2014 model.

What's the rest of the part number you're referring to? They should be well placed to know what's what, to be fair.

VAG 3T2971120CN wiring set for door Škoda genuine OEM part (oemwolf.com)

Not showing as having been superseded by any other number in the above link.

Also skoda-parts.com page for that number shows a bunch of equivalent numbers that doesn't include a suffix DF variant:  Electrical Wiring Installation Bundle for the Door Škoda 3T2971120CN (skoda-parts.com)

Why do you think it should be DF?

Parts catalogue for 2012 Superb doesn't seem to offer DF either? There are a couple of other options for RHD cars though, CJ and CS, not sure what's different between those two.

single parts whitch are not included with the par... - Superb(SUP) [EUROPA 2012 year] (7zap.com)
