MFSW Retrofit 5K0 953 569 E Steering Control Module

Featured Replies

Hi,

I tried to upgrade my steering wheel to a MFSW today but when I was about to install the slip ring (which has an integrated  steering control module) I discovered that the module I have (5K0-953-569-E) is not compatible with indicator and wiper stalks. I do not have the Part Number of the module being replaced to hand but I know the digits 569 are replaced by 549 (and it is a midline version - I have checked this on RossTech's site so the existing controller is not suitable for MFSW). Apart from physically not fitting some of the connectors coming from the existing stalks do not fit the 5K0-953-569-E module.

It looks like I will have to buy a different highline module or a replacement stalk.

I am wondering if anyone knows the correct part numbers for the stalk that I need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My MY12 Octavia with a factory fitted MFSW has this fitted:

Address 16: Steering wheel (J527)       Labels: 5K0-953-569.clb
   Part No SW: 5K0 953 521 BN    HW: 5K0 953 569 E

There are three different types used in the Octavia Facelift

2009 - 2010 1K0 type which sits under the steering column

2010 - 2013 5K0 953 549 which is a slip ring and module. This version has a clear plastic front and small screw at the base

2010 - 2013 5k0 953 569 which is a slip ring and module. This version has a black plastic front and has two screws on the sides
