Love the beemer, not so much the replica above it (probably a 240Z)

Yes I believe it is a rep but looks good in the picture.

Well it would have been a '62 GTO (the '64 re-style is too new) but they're sooooo common.

Whereas this isn't...

The only 450S Maser with Costin / Zagato body.

Or you could have had an Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato.

Hmmm, I know the Zagato Maserati isn't to everyone's taste, but I never really liked the DB4Z. The standard DB4GT was, to my eyes, more modern and a lot better looking.

Further back in time I love the Delage D8. This must surely be the finest example:

Was offered one of these:

as a straight swap for my 1930 Austin 7 but I refused as it wasn't eligible for this. Current value about £530000 !

Is this the one that came into production after your birthday?.

I may be of pensionable age, but I'm not that old!  The model J was introduced in the 20's.

Agreed.....930's do snap oversteer if you dont treat them with respect, the turbos also (in part because of the long 4 speed box) can be very all or nothing because of turbo lag.  When I say mad bad and dangerous I mean that in a positive light.....sort of car that if you have no driving talent and you try to exploit it, it will almost certainly try its best to kill you :-D

Nice merc by the way.....is that a 300 SEL 6.3?
