Citigo ignition switch problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I went to view a Citigo at my local main dealer and they mentioned that their was some sort of tech bulletin which highlighted an ignition switch issue which was affecting the CAN-BUS on this particular car.

They let me see the car which was running with the engine management light on, but none of the other doors would open and none of the internal electrics were working.

As as such I assumed it would be a well known issue and fixing it would be no problem, but one week in and the car is not fixed.

The car is under 3 years old and therefore still covered by the manufacturers warranty plus there will be another years warranty included with the car if I do opt to buy it, so there is some peace of mind there.

I have trawled the usual on the internet, but can find no mention of this 'common issue' anywhere.  So, have any of you heard of this fault and can provide any further details. Should I be concerned and just walk away?

I'd probably walk away and find another. There's plenty on Autotrader that provide nationwide delivery if they weren't nearby. It's how I got mine, worked out great!

Agreed, there is no shortage of them :)
