Manufacturer towbar on Combi - socket?

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone has the optional drop down towbar fitted to a combi?

If so where and how is the socket (presumably 13 pin) fitted? It isnt visible in any manufacturers pictures that I can see, they all just show the ball itself.

If anyone has one or has pictures of ine with the socket down I'd appreciate it. Thinking of specifiying one when I order my combi but would like to see the socket etc first.

It’s actually integrated into the side of the bar itself (combi and hatch are the same):

Great video. I had a Superb demo as a courtesy car for few days with this towbar and was very impressed by it. Certainly considering specing it myself. The one thing I am trying to find out is the wiring to the 13 pin, which I can't find anywhere. Want to know if it provides feed to fridge in caravan? Any one help with that?

I have the factory tow bar and yes it is 13 pin

Thats really impressive. Think I''ll be ordering one of them. Much neater than a normal removable ball and the electrics are really clean where they are in the side of the hitch like that

I too would be interested to know if it is a 'full' install with proper heavy amperage suppy for the fridge etc as I have access to my parents caravan if I want it, although it will mostly be used for a bike rack or canoe trailer.

I also have more videos than the one above i did -

all detailed in this thread -
