Hi Everyone,

 

So after my wife curbed the fns alloy I sent it off for repair.  It came back with a poor colour match by the local refurb shop.

 

My local dealership has quoted £355 for a new one fitted - a shocking price.

 

I'm really having trouble finding them on Google.

 

Who's been in the same boat? Where did you get yours and how much?

 

Any help would be great.

Not been in the same boat, but that's looks about the going rate. Skoda parts is slightly cheaper at £301 but still a fair chunk for one wheel.

 

Best bet might be trying to find a breaker with a written off VRS. Should be able to find a good condition wheel for less than £300.

Been Looking for a breaking vrs for some time now for some seating bits but have failed miserably - if anyone does come across one please let me know and I will do likewise as I'm not interested in the wheels!

Send another to refurb and have the two wrong colours on the same side, you cant see nearside and offside at the same time!

Thanks guys, yes I have thought about getting two refurbished on the same side but then I'm shortening the life of the good wheel (I think you only get a couple of goes at the diamond cutting)

 

Ideally I'd like a new wheel and have the not so good wheel as a spare in the boot.

The dealer wanted £300 at first then I found them on that link and asked the dealer to order them in and knock £15 off for their cheek! 

 

 

That's a good price hortons skoda on ebay have the extreme on for £220
