One reason could be that it is a ringer? (only joking - I hope) - remember, if you have not reached the max oil mileage, the "days" are something like 372 and not 365.  I seem to remember that my wife's August 2015 Polo started giving out "service now" warnings very early, when I checked the date due it was given as early, which all added up to the counter not being reset at PDI, ie it was left as starting at "build date", I just took that onboard and handed the car in when it was properly due a service.

It could be a fake Fabia!

With regards to the oil warning symbol, the service desk wasn't at all concerned and said it was normal to show up to six weeks before.

I just find it irritating because it has an audible warning too.

I don't think that any of my cars dish out an audible warning, they seem to only give out a discrete warning which you should easily miss in the case of the late 2009 SEAT Ibiza, August 2015 VW Polo might hand out a large visual warning, February 2011 Noddy S4 probably gets serviced before any warning is given, but my old June 2000 VW Passat really really did tell you all about it! If I remember correctly, the SEAT Ibiza's small and insignificant warning takes a few minutes to appear then disappears, basically this happens when you are looking elsewhere having just started to drive off!

Rang Skoda UK and they gave me 19th January 2016 as the exact day of build at the factory.

Quick, easy and very helpful .Happy now :)
