Birthday Gift

My Parents and Sister chipped in and bought me the Autoglym Perfect Bodywork, Wheels and Interior Gift Collection.  Not usually a user of AG stuff (used to use SRP) but looking forward to trying them all.

Just checking the wheel cleaner is safe to use on painted wheels (got them done at TWS)?

Hey Buddy,

Nice gift from the family! Body work shampoo is rather good. Interior stuff is also rather good. One thing i will say is when using the wheel cleaner, make sure you don't leave it on to long and rinse thoroughly. Ive not used it for years but the older stuff was quite harsh & not all that good at cleaning either.

Be sure to leave your thoughts!

Cheers

Autoglym is great stuff. It tends to just get looked over for things with more bells and whistles but it does the job and leaves a great finish.

The wheel cleaner is acid based though so as Karl says just be careful with it and you'll be fine.

Ah in that case, I might have to give it a miss, as IIRC, TWS strongly said NOT to use acid based cleaners...

I always use AG products.  Over the years however, i have reduced the amount of stuff i buy as they have so many products on sale now that are covered by other products.  As it was a birthday gift, enjoy it and enjoy the fruits of your labour.  And as already mentioned, make sure you rinse the wheels well after using the wheel cleaner.  It is a very harsh product.

I think that there are 2 wheel cleaners now in the Auto Glym range.
