DDPai M6+ and Galaxy S7 Edge - what am I doing wrong?

Featured Replies

As per thread title - I suddenly cannot get the camera to connect to the DDPai app - it was working fine until recently. The camera powers up when the car starts with the usual annoying jingle (I can't connect to switch it off..), the phone WILL connect to the camera wifi, but WON'T connect within the app. I cannot 'add' the camera - it's recognised, but just says 'connection failed' every time.

I have tried:

  • Keeping the radio/head unit switched off to avoid potential interference...
  • Deleting & reinstalling app on phone
  • Connecting away from any other wifi network (in a car park in the middle of nowhere :D)
  • Switching off smart network switch on phone
  • Switching off smart network switch in DDPai app
  • Switching on smart network switch on phone
  • Switching on smart network switch in DDPai app
  • Resetting camera
  • Switching off phone wifi
  • Switching on phone wifi
  • Switching off mobile data
  • Switching on mobile data
  • And nearly every combination of the above!

Anyone else with the same issues? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm having similar problems.

Bought the Dash Cam after a very favourable review on YouTube (Techmoan). Have spent several hours trying to get this thing to work.  Having issues trying to add the camera on the App. The instructions are rubbish - have to install a separate App (Youmera) which has many 1 star reviews.

Seems to have issues working with Android. I'm giving up for now. Only just arrived today but thinking of returning it as it just doesn't appear to work with Andriod.

I should have updated this, sorry, to say mine is working again.

I did it with the car well away from any saved WiFi networks so there was no conflict, and it has been fine since

I'll give that a go. Thanks pist0nbr0ke :)
