Autolock/anti highjack VDS

Featured Replies

Hey guys I need to get the auto lock feature enabled in my fabia. The garage isn't sure which option it is as he can't understand German.

Can anyone tell me which options he needs to enable in order to turn on the autolock/anti highjack.

Thanks Leprejohn

What wirer said worked for me

infotainment - Car - Setup - Door - Autolock not working?

Car dealer should do it -- it's not in the infotainment on many Fabias - maybe on very recent ones ...

the dealer switched it on on mine. And I don't imagine that they would be the brightest sparks with German !!

Your garage @Leprejohn should be able to find out, like sharpish!

Doable on VCDS and Carista as well.

How does this work, does it lock as you start driving and then unlock when you turn off the ignition, or is it locking and unlocking as the car goes above and below 5 mph?

Activates when hitting a specified speed, and deactivates when turning ignition off

Thanks Damo, I was hoping it was that way round, may get the dealer to enable it for me. I had a Fiat hire car that locked and unlocked as you went above and below 5mph, the loud 'thunk' each time was maddening in slow traffic!

Option was never listed in my car, I did buy the ODBevelen device if anyone knows the VCDS guide on how to enable it or could explain to me that would be great

Not sure on OBDeleven but Carista free App and a Bluetooth elm327 adapter off eBay, can change many things, such as door locking, alarm chirps, needle sweep, coming home lights etc.

Might be an option if you get no joy with the other.

Best of luck

My finger automatically presses the lock button on the dashboard above 5mph,it's simply clever.:)
