Winter is well and truly here but what do you dislike driving in the most?.

Fog has to be the worst... real fog I mean, not just mist ;)

ice is the most dangerous i would say.

Fog is my worst one, by a long way. The high winds used to bother me when I was a truck driver, until I went on low loaders that is.

I was once in freezing fog, truck outside temp was reading -16, icicles on the mirrors, front of the truck was pure white, 2ft of snow on the ground, and night time. In a truck, thats not good. It was so cold in fact that my runny nose actually iced up, and it hurt to breath. I think the temp sensor in the truck was fubar.

Don't mind the conditions, however I hate the the way it affects other drivers, or doesn't affect them. Some still fly around regardless, others are sooooo cautious it encourages people to do daft things.

AND I would make it compulsory for all big off roaders to carry a sticker saying they do not have any advantage over 'normal' cars once moving. In fact they are worse off. But they are bigger so probably don't care.

The fog I drove through to get to Trax was pretty bad. Couldn't see the end of the bonnet yet still stupidly did 70mph  Next time, I'll wait for it to clear.

Black ice is the worst , as all the others you can clearly see the hazard and slow to an appropriate speed.

Often the first you know of balck ice is when you are travelling sideways into a ditch

I don't mind wind, rain, ice or snow. It's fog I hate, when every idiot on the motorway has their foglights on even though you can see far enough to travel safely at the speed limit.

As others said though, it's not so much the conditions as the other drivers reactions to them. Like "oh, there's a bit of snow on the road, let's all do 25 mph !"

I'd go for Driving rain myself. Not just cos of the rain, because most idiots put thier FOG lights on to make these conditions worse than they already are. Blinding, tiring, damn hard work...Plebs.

Heavy Rain on motorway. When road is lightly flooded, car at front leave a huge tail of rain spray, combine with the already heavy rain make visibility down to near nothing.

Agreed.Even with wipers on top speed.Find it very difficult.

Rover 100 pips that to the post for me :P

Any conditions on the road that lead people to drive with inappropriate lights, be it side lights, high beam, fog lights front & rear, or cause them to drive like total muppets at low speed in the middle lane of motorways. Spray isn't great either, but at least you can back away from the car up front.

Another one is when it's a bit cold, not quite cold enough to freeze properly but enough to get the frenzy of spreaders out on the road, covering the road in an inch of slippery gunk / powder - IIRC it was a week ago and it was like driving through a haze, powdery dust instead of 'regular spray' due to rather overenthusiastic spreading :)

Fog every time - assuming it's bad.

Nothing worse than conditions where people can't see but feel they can drive fast regardless - snow tends to slow them down but fog doesn't and I hate feeling like some idiot driving well beyond the conditions is about to kill me :thumbdwn:

 Book em Danno!!!

Bright sun at a v. low angle, particularly if road wet.

Wife in the pasenger seat on a spirited run....Now that's bad...;)

Fog has to be the worst, I don't enjoy it at all.
