New Yeti L & K 1.4 Today!

I'll probably try it once just to say that I've tried it! Have to say that it is probably the panoramic sunroof which I'm enjoying the most just now and that isn't even a feature that I had particularly thought of. I did look last year at an Octavia L & K that had one fitted but with the lower roofline of that car, it made the car impossible to sit in for me as it took too much headroom away from it, that is unless you put the seat down really low which I didn't really like either. It's been a very long time since I've had a car which has had any kind of sunroof to be honest, kind of takes me back to my very first car, a mk 3 Ford Escort Ghia which had one!

Mine has a full length sunroof......not such an advantage at the moment though.......many days of low 30s and nary a drop of rain........wouldn't mind the odd trade.

I think yesterday got to the dizzy heights of 6 or 7 centigrade when I was giving my Yeti its first taste of Scotland, rather a lot cooler than Australia and sadly around here we see an awful lot more rain than sunshine! It's a pity we couldn't trade you some of that excess water in Scotland for a bit more sunshine.

Absolutely!

We recently had record rainfall but that's disappearing fast.

Blimey, ordered in October! I had to wait for one of my Passat estates but at least it was a new model not a car that had been out for years!

Glad that you're enjoying it though.

Many years ago I'd wanted a sun roof and when I finally got one I rarely used it as I found the sun too hot on my head and that was when I had hair! So it's not something I've ever wanted again.

My other car does have the ultimate sun roof though! :)

I think the issue is that the L & K Yeti's are in pretty high demand in the UK right now because of all the cheap PCH deals, some people seem to have got theirs much faster than I did, just depending upon when it was built and shipped really. My car was out of the factory just before Christmas last year I found a bit of paper with I think 22nd December on it with a time and some numbers stuck in the side door pocket. After that the car was left at the docks in Emden until late in January for some reason and had reached the dealers by the end of January. I chose to wait an extra month to get the new registration on the car for what its worth!

Car still doing well, just ordered some mud flaps off of eBay to keep it a bit cleaner, it got dirty really quickly. Only tiny issue that I spotted was that there was a tiny dent on the edge of the drivers door close to the door handle, it isn't due to any damage since I've had the car because there hasn't been any and the paint is in perfect condition, it looks like the factory actually painted a slightly dented door and nobody noticed! It is hardly visible, did tell the dealers so that it is on record as being there from new but probably not worth the aggravation of having to take the car back to the garage to fix something which is not all that obvious. Mind you I would certainly have done that if it wasn't on PCH!

Mine was ordered 20th Jan and just got an email to say it will go to build on 10th April.

Dont need it until 20th of May so it should work out about right :-)

Mine is metallic brown, I hope it looks as good as I hope.

Waiting for our magnetic brown 1.4 to arrive next week. From the YouTube video and pics I can find I don't think we'll be disappointed. Looks like it suits the Yeti.

Will be sure to post some pics when it arrives.

B.O.G.O.F. ?? :)

Nearly.

Finished BMW P.C.P which was £4k deposit and £299 a month.

Yeti was £2190 and £99 a month, my Dad had always wanted a Yeti but had a Fabia. I knew he would be a bit down on me getting a Yeti so I ordered two. So £4380 deposit and £198 for two. Still cheaper than the BM,

here is mine

Nice! Just waiting on our 4th Yeti which will also coincidentally be a magnetic brown L&K.

Just looking at the tailpipes on yours....do you have the chrome tailpipe finishers fitted or is this the standard finish? @AllanDJ did mention the standard tips were reasonably shiny. If this is the case I won't bother ordering and save myself £25.

Brown L&K's all round!

Just picked my PCH car up today from Simpsons. Pretty pleased with it overall. I ordered it blind not having driven one before. It's not exactly quick, but it's ok. Pretty comfortable, after a 3 hour drive home I felt fine.

Level of trim and toys is good, it's more similar to my Bmw than the old Smax it's replaced!

200 mile home with me pushing on and it averaged 31mpg. I didn't buy it for fuel economy but it's better than the old smax that did 26mpg on the way up last night!

The tailpipes are standard fit, the only extra was the mud flaps moved over from my last Yeti, could not be bothered to remake my longer flaps

That's nothing. :)

I invested in a second property, a nice little detached retirement bungalow with garage for me and my wife. We are a couple of decades off that yet so my parents live in rent free.

They raised me and helped out financially when I was younger so now it's payback time.

Bank of Mum and Dad in reverse.
