Anybody know if...

...you can flip a Skoda PCP into a Seat?

My PCP expires next summer, but I'm unlikely to go for another Octy because of its bug-eyed restyle. Am torn between idea of trading up to a Superb or ditching Skoda for a Seat Ateca. Does anyone know if VAG allows PCP deals to switch between brands as long as they stay within VAG? After all, all the finance deals are coming out of the same VW bank.

I think it's possible. I'd ask the prospective dealer as they may encourage or avoid the practice.

Flip?  You can go and trade your car in elsewhere at any point you like as long as it makes financial sense for you to do so.

Flip? What do you mean?

You can buy any car you want at the end of the PCP. Just get a settlement figure which will be the GMFV if you have made all your payments.

See what they offer you part ex. If it's less than the GMFV hand the Skoda back to Skoda finance.

Don't think I've explained myself very well here.

I've been assuming that when my Octy PCP term ends that whatever end-of-contract option I choose (hand the car back, buy it, use it as the deposit on another Skoda), it would have to be with the Skoda dealer.

What I'm trying to establish is whether I could infact take the car to a Seat dealer instead and conclude the contract with them - using my Octy as a deposit on an Ateca, for example. My thinking is that since Skoda Finance and Seat Finance are just brand names of VAG's own bank that shouldn't be a problem.

No.

It's like any other car with finance.

Give the dealer your agreement number they can contact VWFS for a settlement figure.

But I'd advise doing that yourself and then see what the dealer offers you in part ex. Then if it's a good figure reveal the finance balance to be worked into the new deal.

You can go anywhere and buy any car you like at the end of your PCP. Or earlier if you do wish.

The answer ton your question is yes you can no problem as it all goes under vag group finance ...... I traded in my 60 plate cupra r to get my 14 plate octavia no problem with the finance at all
