It is definately the option I want to go for now. Just need to get someone to install it for me :-)

They are really easy to install, where in the UK are you?

Bedfordshire. I don't fancy messing around myself with the trim/fusebox of my Superb when I get it. I hear you have be careful with the airbags in the pillar etc.

You do yes but there is no need to remove any trim, the A post pillar trim does need lifting away very slightly at the top to get the cable completely out of sight, other than that it will all hide right next to the door rubbers.

I do appreciate that it can be a little daunting messing about with a new car though!

I found the hardest part was running the cable to the tailgate as I ran the cable through the OE rubber ‘grommet’ that all the other cables run through, so the only cables that are on view are where they go into the camera, which is unavoidable.

Actually I take back my ‘really easy’ comment where a rear camera is installed, this is by far the hardest part.

Thanks for the help :-). It seems the glove box is also hard to remove. I don't mind paying a professional to do it. The only time I have done this type of thing before was when i installed wiring on a qashqai for an aftermarket wing mirror closing device. I will have to have a think about self install. Would be great if there was a video of someone installing all the wiring in a Superb to see where it goes (especially to the rear one)

Once you understand how the glovebox is held in (a couple of clips and the damper) they are really easy, although getting the damper back in was a lot harder on a B8 Passat (16 plate... so basically a S3!) I recently did, so I removed it and found out how the damper worked and then replaced it... this was all done in the dark and somehow when removing it the damper gear had spun round 180° (unless it had been assembled wrong at the factory, but there was no way it would go back together the wrong way round)

The ‘removal’ of the glovebox (it actually just drops down) is covered in the handbook

Will I get dab interefence using the f770 front and rears hard wired with the cellink?

Not sure with the cellink but my F750 is wired to an ignition fed fuse and the power between the front and rear camera is run through the drivers side hatch grommet and down the drivers side headlining (right by the door rubbers) and the DAB works better than the OE DAB Columbus in SWMBOs Yeti.

IIRC I read that the DAB cables run down the passenger side of the car?

Thanks. If the place that sells them doesn't give me a good price including the install will have a go myself :-)

Hello. Getting my f770 installed next week. I know this is a different camera in the link below but did you have to do this to the rear camera wiring?

Pretty much identical yes,

the only hard part is getting the cables through the rubber tubes!

Hopefully the bloke doing it for me will know what he is doing, don't want any bit of my car broken :-(
