Currently have a problem with the intermittent wipers and central locking indicator flash (no flash when locking but flashes when unlocking). Looking through the forum the bonnet switch has been suggested previously, but I have tried it for function and proven that it is working.

 What I have identified is that the plug that pushes into the bonnet limit switch is only supplying 6 volts which may suggest high resistance somewhere (broke into cable away from plug where it is still only showing 6 volts). Has anyone had the same symptoms or is able to suggest where to start next. Car is 2006 TDI Elegance.

 I did more checking including disconnecting/reconnecting the battery which then resulted in alarm going off at 11pm - quite often as everytime I re-locked the car the alarm was sounding within a few minutes. Decided to unplug the bonnet switch which cured the problem and actually appears to have cured the intermittent wipers which are now operating correctly even though I had understood that the bonnet switch was required wired in to allow the intermittent to function.

 The indicators now flash when locking, but a second or two after locking, but I am now unsure if this delay is correct.
