I have a problem with my Octavia 2 Facelift i need to change my wipers.

The problem is i can’t get them in service position. The only way to put them in Service position is by : Pressing the wiper handle down and then put the ignition on. 

Usually this would be done by ignition on , ignition off and then press the handle.

Any of you know how to fix this?

I never use the service position. It is easier to switch on the ignition, press single wipe then turn off the ignition when the arms are vertical.

turn off ignition and pull wiper stalk down.

opposite procedure when wipers replaced.
