I mentioned a while ago that my rear screen wiper was stopping at around 12:O'clock (no not the time of day silly)

it also stopped in other positions either side.

Anyhoo, I took it into the dealers and they had it for three hours, and the darn thing never stopped! Oh well!

My 2016 Yeti does this too, I have noticed it does it more when the car is cold.

Could it be anything to do with the rear door not closing properly, or even if it is, the switch that detects the door shut? If the door is open, the wiper stops working.

No, it's simply a bad batch of rear wipber motors.

several of us on here have had them replaced.

The dealers know about this, although they try to pretend they're not 100% certain !

They "could not find a fault" but the rear window fouls up quite quickly

on this model when the weather is inclement.

Mine is the same. Seems to stop midway through a swipe usually at start-up or a single flick of the switch. Once the wipers are on ,in steady rain say,the rear wipes normally.

 Just a little quirk,live with it.

But it isn't a "quirk" but a known fault with a batch of rear wiper motors that several here have had replaced under warranty.

Exactly the same symptoms I had !

as stated, motor replaced under warranty, known fault.

Had a similar intermittent problem on my Yeti for last month or so, took it in for a first service last week and mentioned this issue, expecting them to say they could not replicate the fault, however when I went to collect confirmed issued with rear wiper motor and will be replaced under warranty, however none in stock so got to make another visit to have fitted next week.  Glad covered by warranty as cost to Sokda shows as £249, on paperwork from Garage.
