Mode Switch

Featured Replies

Can someone do me a favor please and see if your mode switch just pulls out ? Every time I vac the car my mode switch nearly ends up in the hoover. It's not fastened at all. I did mention this when the car was in for some warranty work a few weeks ago and the dealer said they had looked at a few in the dealership and they all did it .....

Cheers !

Ok Cheers.

@Nick_H  Just had a look at the switches in my car and I couldn't get it to pop out! I even put a small screwdriver to it but it resiliently refused to budge more than a millimetre or two. The whole bank of the right side of switches were going to come out in one piece long before the Mode switch would relinquish its death grip and I didn't want to force it in case something broke. The same applied to all the switches on either side of the gear lever.

Also checked mine - they are all solid and it cant lift it out

Nick, Mine's solid as a rock (the switch!)

Mine also solid (FNNaarrr-ffnnaarrr!), dealer spinning you a line maybe?

Thanks guys.... Ok back in for that then ....

Sounds like your dealer has a duff batch !! get it changed before hover eats it

Ditto. The chrome trim on my driver's door keeps popping off, but the mode button (and others) is as stuck in as you could expect. I vacuum them regularly (with a soft brush attachment), and there's no sign of looseness. I would file this firmly alongside the old 'We've never seen that before, Sir'... in the list of dealership excuses. :D
