Stolen Triumph Essex

Featured Replies

Could I ask the the collective to keep an eye open for my distinctive Triumph Speed Triple 955i. Taken from outside my home, close to Thurrock in Essex on the 28th Feb 2017. Police have four names, already known to them for this sort of thing, but unable to proceed due to lack of hard evidence. Bike was alarmed and is Datatagged. Levers are black Titex stubbies. Triumph bar end mirrors, Samco green coolant hoses, green HEL brake lines, LED indicaters, stainless radiator covers and SP Engineering exhaust. Unlikely to have original plate but is registered as LX04 MKZ.

Thanks guys and girls. Look after your babies...:crying:

Sorry to hear and hope you find it and the scumbags get what they deserve, though unlikely.

Thanks Dan. Like you say, unlikely.

Sorry to hear this. They need there hands copping off...........Barstewards

Shouldn't you be able to Locate the Bike due to Datatagging ?

Worrying. I would sometimes park at Great Dunmow and Hainault but I do not know how is best to secure. strong chain to a post or ground anchor I suppose. constant worry.

Good luck in the recovery. It's unfortunately a big problem in the UK that you're now a victim of.

What security did you have in place? Keep a look out on Ebay and Gumtree as well as the Triumph forums but most likely it will be out the country pretty soon heading east.

Datatagging only shows up if scanned with a UV light on the parts that are marked.

Its Good, but you have to find em first :D

When they catch these low life's they should give them the bolt in the head, they bring nothing to the party so they shouldn't be allowed to live, I'm not far from you so i'll keep an eye out, sorry to hear this.

Real ****er mate, great looking bike.

Really sorry for your loss

Thanks for your replies everyone. Datatool factory alarm/imobiliser fitted, was singing merrily as the four perps pushed it away with a scooter. Datatag comes in if the parts are checked for markings and scanned, uses microdot system and codes to identify them. No chains or disc lock, apathy kicks in when you live somewhere quite quiet :wall:

I bought it last July with just 2700 miles on it and added around 2000 joyous miles.

lol-lol, the best thing is mechanical deterant but the scroates now carry battery powered grinders, just slows them down a bit.

Looks like I have to go shopping again, seen a nice ZX6R G2. Next machine will almost defio have a tracker!

Get your self an Almax or Pragmasis 16mm+ chain and Squire lock. Secure to a ground anchor and try to position it so it's hard to access the chain. The chains are bolt cropper proof and take a long while to cut even with grinder. Expensive but a great deterrent.

By the sounds of it you'll have been followed home at some point and they've come back later to take it. Hope you get a quick payout so you can move on.
