Been looking for vids for removing the egr and cleaning from a mk2 pfl vrs tdi. Most video's I can find have the egr in a completely different place.

 

My egr has been mapped out but I think its full of crap which really wont be helping.

 

Does anyone know of link to a decent and useful video and guide of a pd170's egr being removed?

May I ask you - if your EGR has been mapped out, why do you wish to remove/clean it?

Because the physical egr is still there and gasses still passing through it and will still be getting carbon build up

Just remember if you can't find something here google it with your engine code as it's the same as what's in loads of other cars, yours will be BMN

The egr in that link is different to mine. Mine has a plastic bit on the left with wires coming from it.
