Posting Photos

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me how to post photo's directly into a thread in stead of having to attach photo's??...Thanks Andy.:)

They need to be hosted somewhere first, then you can use [ img ] tags (without the spaces) to refer to the URL where they are hosted.

You can use the Briskoda gallery as the simplest hosting mechanism. Upload them to your gallery, then cut and paste the "BB code" field under the picture into your post.

That's what I do. Also makes them easier to locate later when you can't remember which thread you posted them in.

chuffin' 'ell...........it's a bit big..i've seem to have got the jist. How come it's so big you can remove it if you wish.................Andy

It's big because that's the size you uploaded it at. Try resizing them to 800x600 or at most, 1024x768 first ;)

You'll need to use a program like paintshop pro or photoshop, if you don't have these send me a PM you can email me and I'll resize them for you.

So load them first into photoshop or similar and then transfer them into my gallery?? FAO skodaw...thanks for the offer, nothing to show really, just wondering how it was done....Andy..:)

I've got a little utility thingy that resizes pics for you.... you just choose the size you want! let me know if you'd like a copy?

If you don't have Paint Shop Pro or some other programme you can do it in the "Paint" programme that comes with Windows (usually listed under Accessories)

Just open the file, and then go to Image, Stretch / Skew

Be careful with Paint as it doesn't preserve the aspect ratio (ratio of width:height) by default - you need to make sure you pick a size that matches the aspect ratio of your original pic.
