Have fitted my oem towbar and electrics to my octavia mk3 vrs which went reasonably smoothly. Started trying to code it in and did the first part enabling 69 trailer however when I started to code the park assist part Using Long code helper and try to confirm it I get the following error

Coding rejected error 33 security access required. Have I a dodgy cable and software issue or doing something wrong??

Nope as wasn't aware I needed to. Plus how do I do that. In already skating on thin ice using the programme and YouTube tutorials

I'm by no means a vcds guru, but certain modules need the security code inputting before adjustments are made. An official cable will info you of the code as you hover over the box. 

I am guessing I have a unregistered cable then. Anyone in Leicester who can help me out with coding this for me?

In the controller screen click on the security access button and see if a code pops up in a bubble. If it does enter the code, then do the adaptations/coding you need to do.

 

Failing that, I live just off jct 25 of the M1 and I have vcds so I should be able to do it for you.
