Passenger door wont shut properly

Featured Replies

Just had my dashcam fitted and I noticed when the installer left that I have to slam my passenger door a bit to close it now. It must be a coincidence because there is nothing wrong with the trim at all by the door and I have spent 3 hours trying to find the problem. The lock all looks fine too. I guess I will mention it to the dealers at some point but it's just strange or has started to do it after 3 weeks of ownership and right after a dashcam install :-(

Have a look where the rear door meets the front door. There is a known issue (which I amongst many others here have suffered) whereby the rubber seals overlap slightly. It's enough to cause fouling and eventually rip off the chrome trims.

Make sure that the rubber seal at the hinge side of your front door has been pushed back in properly - had a similar thing on my Ibiza after fitting a Parrot kit

Hi. All the seals look perfect. I spent hours today looking and for the life of me can't see the problem. Unless the doors dropped very slightly. But again it looks lined up perfectly.

@tigermad If you roll down any window, is the door still difficult to close?

Door was ok in the end. Either my imagination or it rectified itself.
