Powered Aerials ?

Featured Replies

Ok I apolgise in advance if this has been answered in the past, I Have searched the forums and have not found an answer.

I am going to fit my Sony head unit to the car but I don't know if I have the powered aerial that is mentioned in some of the threads how do you tell ?.

My Octavia is a 1.8 20v slx estate on a V plate, on the blue spot web site they refer to "late model VW's needing the antena adapter. Does by car come under this ?

Also will the blaupuknt adapter work on the sony head unit as I am going to replace the sony unit with a Daytona mp53 at some point in the future.

Any help would be much appreciated before I toast my sony unit.

Not too sure whether yours falls into the 'late model' catagory. I'm guessing it does purely based on the fact that by 'V' the Mk 4 Golfs were out. Anyhoo, I don't think it would do any harm to fit the adapter.

BTW, the Daytona is a nice unit. I got mine (and the adapter) from

www.bluespot.co.uk Very helpful people. You could even ask them about the adapter. They don't work weekends though.
