Fabia VRS - best price?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I'll be in the market for a new car at the end of March and the Fabia VRS is high up on my list of possible candidates.

I know that the official list price is circa 12500 but what is the best price you have seen for a new car? Is it likely that the car supermarkets will offer the best deals or will dealers be willing to haggle.

Thanks and all the best.

Martin.

Try http://drivethedeal.co.uk as well as being probably the lowest price there is, the service on the net is superb. I bought my car from them and can only wholehartedly recommend them. :)

Great service, delivered to your door (when they say it will be for a change!)... I got mine for about

I work at Simpsons Skoda in Colne (NW England).

In the past we have matched DriveTheDeal's prices, if you get no joy at your local dealer, give me a call on 01282 864266

Drivethedeal only good if no part exchange involved in my experience.

Try autofinders, they were £10,995 the other day.

I got mine from Simpsons in Colne - DTD went through them to deliver car.

Top service WRC _Ant...

Try autofinders, they were

Are the cars provided by DTD full UK spec with the normal UK warranty?

Also what sort of delivery time is normal? 1 week, 2 weeks, 10 weeks?

Thanks.

Martin.

why? what do you think the advantage is?

Maybe worth more with one less owner when selling it on in the future..?

Yep. Full UK spec, 3 year 60,000 mile warranty. And mine took a month to deliver. I had to have it on a certain weekend and they did the rest.

Mine was fully standard though with metallic paint though. The more extras the longer the wait due to special orders having to be put in. Expect upto a few months wait if that the case...

How do DTD actually deliver the car and how can they undercut the dealers prices if the cars are full UK spec?

Do you just order your car and then pick it up from the local dealers?

If I did go for one I would go for the most basic spec. At just over 11K on the road its a serious bargain!

Cheers.

They seem to be able to under cut the dealers - but that is still making a profit (ALBEIT SMALL)...

The dealer delivers the car to your door - on the back of a flat bed lorry all polished and clean.

You can have it delivered in a cl;osed lorry but it costs.

Sometimes they said it is driven to you so you may like to check when ordering...

I really cant rave about the deal much more - it under cut my 3 local dealers by close to 1000 quid...

The only downside is no dealer connection - but the cars rarely go wrong so I think that is no loss really...

HTH

why? what do you think the advantage is?

Well one advantage is that most Insurance companies will replace a written off vehicle with a brand new one within the 1st year of ownership If you are the the 1st registered keeper in the log book!!!!!

That ruled out a pre-reg for me!!!!

HI Martin

Bought my 2006 VRs Fabia through a local main dealer Hayseldon

after playing other dealers against each other, then went with the wife who kept pressuring the sales manager we got ours for
