Light sensor condensation

Featured Replies

Hey guys

I've been having increasing issues with HBA. When I first got the vehicle it was fine, worked well. Increasingly lately it's turning on when it shouldn't, and not turning off quickly enough when it detects oncoming traffic. I adjusted the lux it turns on at to 15lux instead of the default 20 but that hasn't really helped.

I've noticed condensation in the RLFS camera. Is this what's used for HBA? If so, has anyone seen this before?

No one's seen this before??

Its not condensation, its just a film of dirt.

It happens in the rear high level brake light also.

How would I clean it off?

if dust gets there, we can assume there is a gap... if there is a gap, maybe compressed air?

Is it dust? Or is it grime from the components outgassing?  You can't prevent the latter.

Hmm, does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the mirror to clean the glass? It doesn't seem to be disappearing.
