Hi All,

Thought I would start a new none Skoda project thread for SWMBO's new car as I have one for my FL VRS.

There wont be much done to this car however there are some plans.

 

The car is a 2013 registered Audi A3 2.0 TDI 150 Sport, one owner from new with full Audi Service history.

The below pictures show the car in its original guise as taken by the dealer prior to purchase Pic 1.

The second pic shows the car on day of collection.

Some of you may notice the subtle difference, As part of the deal we had all of the chrome wrapped gloss black and the grill painted matt black to emulate the black style pack dealer option, this was all completed by the dealership (farmed out to a 3rd party to complete) prior to collection.

They have done a cracking job and it has completely changed the look of the car.

So for a car that SWMBO said she did not want to modify the project was started before she even took delivery MWWWAAAHHHH!!!!

 

So plans for the car.

Rear windows tinted 25% - 30%

Activate Sat Nav via SD card, I believe this is dealer only option and around £500 so unless I can find a way round this it may have to wait till funds look healthier.
Work out what options/adaptions have been activated and what hasn't and switch on the options SWMBO wants in VCDS.
Possibly new alloy wheels as SWMBO is not keen on the standard alloys ( I may be trying to talk her out of this as I like them and they cost nothing)

Couple of updates to SWMBO car.

 

Rear windows tinted, finally decided on a 35% tint as the wife did not want it to dark.

 

And it got a full detail and Diamond Bright.

 

This was done by Thomas Henry valeting and included

Jet wash

Snow foam 

TB method safe wash

Clay bar

Polish 

Diamond Bright package applied to paint work, wheels and interior 

Coat of colinite 465

@BigJase88 its Shiraz red - it has a lovely red metal flake in that changes the look of the car when the sun hit it - one of the things about the car I'm a little jealous of. 

Nice work.  That's a very nice colour indeed.  Coincidentally a RS6 Avant in a very similar shade just passed me and it looked very classy. 

Not really a project update but thought I would pop it on here.

SWMBO's car is at the Audi dealership for warranty work, Faulty AC and rear light water ingress.

so we currently have this to play with.

Audi A3 2.0tdi Sline Quattro in DSG flavour.

 

Very nice, one of the first facelift ones.
