Hi

Is there any tips about doing a clutch change on a 1.4 16v fabia ? I have done clutch changes before so should know what I am doing ! Is there anything I need on particular apart from clutch ? My car is just on 100k miles, cant select reverse without crunching , first could be better selection, and will slip id driven badly !

It can be to dry gearshaft - axle. Some times you can take the gearbox few cm  out and put som grease on the axle, and then it is ok again. Use grease around all the axle but don use to much! 

 

In 90-95 percent on change it is engought to change the clutshplate and not all around, if you have to change?.

have a look through this thread, shows what needs to be removed and replaced and what tools you need. I wouldn;t have thought the 1.4 would have been much different
