    Picked mine up today

  • So I picked mine up this morning, it’s a brilliant car love it already. Only done 50 miles and traffic was heavy but it ticks all the boxes for me.

13 weeks now since order accepted by factory.

Still no build week assigned. :crying:

In the same boat, 12 weeks today

im currently in 17th week and no BW :(

Got my weekly call, car has been built and is on its way to port.

Nice, lucky man!  I dream of that day!

Got my weekly call, still no movement on obtaining a build week.

They did say that if car is with VWFS they could extend the lease - at my cost.  My thinking is they messed up, they should provide a car to cover the period im without my skoda.  Going to just say i have checked and the car isnt with VWFS after all.

Still at UBW 12 for me...

16 weeks waiting so far... Which was the original estimate.

Email today... car is at port of Emden in Germany awaiting a transport order! Also had confirmation of being on an 18 plate.

Starting to get excited!

UPDATE!

My dealer just called to say the car will arrive tomorrow!!   So that's just 3 days from arriving in the UK port.

Slightly annoyingly, I can't actually pick it up until next Wednesday, BOTB who I won the car through want to film the collection for their website and marketing and this is the earliest they can do.    It will be in the showroom though so I can pop over at the weekend (after its been prepped) for a look and some pics.

So that's 3 weeks from my build week to the dealer, impressive!

Brilliant!

Ordered 18th October. Getting delivered 5th Feb.

For those who have their cars or leased before.  Do you rely on manufacturer breakdown cover or get your own?

My current lease car came with 3 year Skoda cover - no need for additional cover if not travelling abroad in my view

My last update confirms the car is at the port of exit but not released for shipping - status 36 I believe. Get the sodding car here and get it registered! Can't see the point in this waiting for an 18 plate nonsense.

Had mine 3 weeks. Looking lush after an afternoon detailing. #protectyopaint

Fully loaded as per...

Iv heard the 245 on 19's isn't built for comfort. DCC does make a noticeable difference however.

Not personal experience mind.

I can 2nd this. DCC modes do allow a different feel in terms of soft/stiff and also the power delivery.

Personal preference, plus risk of having 2 cars and not enough room on the drive is not nonsense.

I didn't say that scenario was nonsense!

It depends what you intend to do wiht the car. If you're someone who think a number is important or changes frequently then wait for 18 as it will be worth slightly more.

If (like us) you've been limping along with 1 car for three months and really need 2  - collect it asap! (especially as we keep cars for years so it'll be worthless when we change anyway)

Doesn't the Skoda package include European cover?   On the main point unless you need cover to drive other cars not sure what additional cover would give you.

No the Mods will have removed the 'advert' from a Dealership / salesperson that posted they had a Un-registered Corrida Red vRS 245 available today from a cancelled order.

Looked like it was the dealership with the same name as the Christian name of a British boxer with the surname Cooper.

Well just went on Live Chat thinking he would tell me the same as always, came back with unconfirmed BW of 15.  Its now moved one week!  Small mercies!?
