New look

Hmm...

Just tried the "reputation" button. Don't know if it's just my browser, but it renders as black text on dark grey - not exactly legible.

  • Indeed Boots Paracetamol do a fine job Thanks for the feedback, not done yet Apologies for a few images just being boxes, not to clever I know, will be sorted ASAP.

  • Still looks the same here :( Edit - just changed BTW - what's the 'Reputation' thing on the member list then??

  • Click the button with a tick/cross image on it, and you can rate other members... (oe-er)...

Pot and kettle? :Cat:

:D :D Only kidding, Denis! Mine was courtesy of Stimps.

Resolved Mike.

Small one I've found - the search list for new posts isn't sorted in date/time order any more.

Well, back from a weekend away and, shock and awe, a new Briskoda design!

Must go with with Dr. Z - love the new homepage, but IMHO the forums have become somewhat messy compared to the previous version, which I liked VERY much. There are a bit too much icons instead of plain words for my taste in this one, and the blue bars in between the posts are bit too fussy.

And how come all links are underlined no matter what? I have set IE so that it will only underline when hovering over links, which is very easy on the eye. I know this would require giving a colour to linked text, but is there a way to shut it off? I hate underlining! :D;)

But... I must laud the team for continually wanting to renew and keep this site alive. Well done - and thanks for the threaded look as well, makes it easier to find a previous post on this or that!

Howard - it looks fine to me (the list) - although sometimes just refreshing the page doesn't update the list (because it's cached maybe?)...

Could do with at least "Show new posts" being a text link instead of an icon, although it's good that you can get to the button from the top of all pages now :)

Blue bars - Colin's let me edit the template settings, and we spent quite a while trying to find the right blues. It's still not perfect, but you should have seen my first attempt!

Underlining links - these can be fixed on the template settings as well.....

Ahhhh, OK. Before you could just hit the IE refresh button and they would pop-up in sorted order. Now, when you hit refresh, it just refeshes the items in the list, rather than re-loading the page. Hitting the little button at the top right has the desired effect!

Yup - exactly. Was confusing as hell to start with, as F5'ing made it look like no one was posting!

Yep, you refresh the pag, but if you note you have a search id, that search id (Have you all discovered custom searches and saving your searches?) will rerun, so the list might not be in the right order...use the link, which will be words very shortly.

Perhaps change the text (sorry to complain!)

Just seems that the table cell with those links is now taking up a lot of horizontal space (and will probably look odd for people using lower resolutions, e.g. 800x600)

:D

I'll pass it onto our newly appointed style director....

Stimps, anybody seen him today?

fade away>

Have a play Sar, navbar is what you need :D

"style director" - can I have that on a name badge please? :D

Will try and tidy things up more tonight, honest :)

 Never noticed all those different templates that could be changed... yowsers!

Have changed it now to slightly shorter text labels - should still make sense though?
